When Almost Seems Too Far Away

Psalm 27:14 - "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Hello, Lemonaders!

I know. It's been a while since I've posted anything on here. If you're like me, you're in between struggles:

• We're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with COVID, and yet we're still not quite out of the woods.

• Life in general seems to make more sense as you get older, and yet there's a never ending need to get a grip on life in order to create some semblance of balance.

• It feels like your God-given promises are just around the corner, and yet the mirages in your spiritual desert aim to deter your trust in Christ.

• You know that you're almost to a better place in your life, and yet your 'almost' seems like a million miles away. It's like taking two steps forward only brings you three steps behind.

And if you're in a season of wandering through the wilderness, I feel ya! The wilderness experience is an unpleasant dwelling place. But from a spiritual standpoint, it's a passageway to the destiny that our Lord and Savior means for our good. The hardships endured are meant for our development and to deepen our understanding and relationship with the Lord. It ain't fun times when you're in this place in your life, but it's still worth it. Keep going, keep praying, and keep praising the Lord! And know this: You don't have to enjoy the process in order to have joy in the process!! Nehemiah 8:10--"Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” If you think there's just way too many lemons (trials and problems) in your lemonade right now, hold on tight. God has the ability to give you just the right amount of sugar (blessings and grace) every step of the way. And if your lemonade has been extra sweet lately, please share some encouragement in the comments to help others that are going through. A little support can go a long way.
