IT HAPPENED ON SUNDAY

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.

-Romans 14:5

Over the years, it is not uncommon for many Christians to believe that we should not do any work on Sunday. Of course, as things are changing, this idea is not always fully practiced. But the belief is still held in high importance for many.

Jesus and His disciples were living during a time when the Jewish law looked at Sabbath, like our Saturday, as a day not to do any labor. Jesus was criticized when He healed those who were sick or crippled on this day. And, His disciples were even thought ill of when they rubbed grain in their hand for food on the Sabbath.

Jesus and His crew were no doubt considered radicals to the hardcore religious leaders as these leaders were adamant that evert law was to be carried out to the letter no matter the circumstances. But thankfully Jesus was not on earth to listen to the religious leaders. He came to die so that we may live.

No judgment here, but if you are under the impression that Sunday is an absolute non-working day, remember that the most miraculous work of all time was done early one Sunday morning. It was the moment when our Lord and Savior rose from the dead!!! Because Jesus rose from the dead when He said He would, we can celebrate Him this Sunday and each and every day of our lives!!

HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES!!!
