Kingdom Voting

"Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say." --Proverbs 16:33 (MSG)

Hello, My Lemonaders! Yes, it's that time again. It's almost time to vote. To start off, I am not here to use my blog as a political platform to persuade anyone to vote in any particular way. That's why voting is done in a private manner. Who you choose to vote for is your business, and who I choose to vote for is my business. I will say that if you are old enough to vote, I encourage you to vote. And if you can vote but opt not to, you do not have a real position to complain if things don't go as you had hoped. But let me digress as I step off my mini soap box :-)

Even though I am not here to make any suggestions as to who my readers should vote for, I still wanted to take a moment to remind us of the necessity of having a Christian perspective for this right to choose official leaders. There may be some who already have in mind who they will vote for, while others may be struggling with their decision. Let me be the first to say that it is okay either way. As always, there is an apparent battle between the political donkey and elephant, and it is true that God will have the final say when it is all said and done. But let's not take our ability to vote lightly as this is a privilege that some other nations may never have the right to practice. And as Christians, let us not leave out the Lamb of God as we make our decision. Yes, please go vote. But when you go, take the kingdom mindset with you.

Put Christ first. Pray about your decision. Prepare to vote.
