For many, the summertime means vacation time. Maybe it will be a weekend trip to the beach or a road trip three states away. No matter the length of the trip, one thing is for sure. Vacations are often much needed and can be lots of fun. Sometimes, some of the best vacations are the ones that include visiting family members that you haven't seen in a long time or don't get to see often. Preparations are made for transportation, sleeping arrangements, packing, and possible activities for the time of the visit. But you know what can a damper on things? If you were to put all or the majority of the focus on WHAT you will do when you get there more than WHO you are going to visit.  In my heart of hearts, I fear that we as Christians focus a lot more on WHAT we will be doing or WHAT we will see when we get to heaven than WHO we will see. Yes, I am sure that heaven is a sight to behold, and we will finally be able to lay our burdens down forever once we get there. But what about wanting to see the One who died for you and me much more than all of that?  In all of your getting ready, don't forget the most important thing--seeing Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior face to face.
